DR Secret - How to Clear Acne Breakouts after applying Makeup

Frequently, many women experience acne breakouts after applying makeup, ranging from as young as 16 to women in their 30s.


Why Does Make Up Causes Acne Breakouts? 

Make up causes acne breakouts as it blocks the skin pores, thus the pores are unable to breathe, and becomes clogged pores as a result. When pores are clogged with impurities, acne starts to form on the skin, causing breakouts.

Some cosmetics contain chemicals that are unsuitable for sensitive skin, hence, we highly recommend to stick to light makeup or organic based make up to prevent breakouts. 

Cleansing Step is most important for Acne Breakouts 

To reduce acne breakouts and clogged pores, cleansing step is most important. Make up remover is to be used immediately to remove make up the first thing you come home, to allow the skin to breathe. After which, apply a good grade cleanser to remove impurities deeply dislodged in the skin for best results.

How to Prevent Acne Breakouts after applying Makeup?

1. Cleansing (twice a day)

For acne, cleansing step is most important to remove impurities on the skin to allow the skin to regenerate and clear up the acne.

2. Miraglo Face (Exfilotation Cloth)

For faster improvements to clear up acne, use a exfliotation cloth to remove impurities such as acne and blackheads twice to three times weekly.

3. DR Secret Spot Serum

Apply Spot Serum on acne affected areas twice a day, or every two hours (when there is breakouts) till breakouts subside.

4. Before applying makeup, apply Sunscreen first.

Apply Sunscreen first to prevent impurities from makeup from seeping into the skin. After which, apply make up and foundation.

5. Use Make up remover (Aestier Cleansing Cream) to remove makeup

Use a make up remover to remove makeup as the Cleanser does not necessary remove all makeup. Try to use less make up to prevent clogged pores/acne.

What does DR Secret T Series Mean?

DR Secret T Series mean Treatment Series. The new treatment version was introduced in 2007.

There was three items that was replaced:

#2 Toner - T2 Toner
#3 Skinlight - T3 Skinlight
#4 Skinrecon - T4 Skinrecon

The old version has been phrased out and it is not in production.

What is the new DR's Secret T Series about?

It means it is a treatment series to enhance skin renewal process to exfoliate old skin cells to reveal new skin cells below. The ingredients has been improved for maximum purity and efficiency. To comply to new FDA regulations, there is no hydroquinone in DR Secret range.

There is no mercury in our products, and it is safe for pregnancy as it is an external product. It does not cause cancer. For best advice, please consult your doctor for additional clarification.



T3 Skinlight: Skin Lightening Treatment

T3 Skinlight means skin lightening treatment for pigmentation, dark spots, freckles and uneven skin tone. The lightening effect from skinlight helps to lighten the skin. For best results, apply on face and neck for even lightening effect. It can be used on other parts of the body, example, dark spots on hands, to achieve similar lightening results.

For pigmentation that has been on the skin for a long time, allow a few months to see results, apply daily to renew your skin cells. Our skin renews every 28 days, new skin cells regenerate from below our skin to push our the impurities above such as pigmentation. To enchance the lightening effect, apply 4 - 8 drops on effected areas.

T4 Skinrecon: Skin Reconditioning Treatment

T4 Skinrecon means skin reconditioning for skin cell renewal. It is to be used with Skinlight. We advise to mix T3 (4 drops) with T4 (2 pumps) for best results for a radiant complexion. Skinrecon helps to push out impurities on the skin such as old scar wounds, pigmentation, acne scars, dead skin cells, to renew and regenerate the skin. By mixing it togethe with T3 Skinlight, the effects are enhanced further.
